I wanted to get a taste of the rc10 prior to purchasing the rere but couldn't wait! This one has been on the shelf in bits for a long time. Bought from the USA, I took a chance on it. The chassis is an "A" stamp and I think it was used as an on road car judging by some of shells that it came with. The car wasn't stock - had different turnbuckles but a nice alloy steering crank. I stripped it completely and got some parts reanodised (brace tubes and shock bodies). All plastics were generally in good condition and cleaned as best as possible, but a few stubborn stains remain. I also bought a new set of gold chassis screws.

So I finally started the build last weekend (with wife's permission of course!)



Front end



Photocopy of manual. Having rebuilt a lot of cars I found this manual to be rather cumbersome and unnessarily wordy. More instructive diagrams would have helped.



Constructing rear diff. This was lubed with copious amounts of grease!





Back to the chassis...diff installed too.





Fast forward...most of the build is complete now. I had Pargu wheels that I reanodised in a matching gold. Front tyres are hot laps and rears are Schumacher. The knock offs are from Rogue Elements.

The electrics included a reedy mr K, Novak T4 tempfet, ko propo fm receiver and a futaba servo.









New shell ready and some decals to choose from. Didn't go mental with the decals on the shell. I wanted to keep the minimalist look!







All done! I'm happy with this build. The aggressive look really appeals to me...I will tidy the electrics at some point.

Looks great and I like the look of the black body the best. FYI, you have the wheel nuts on backwards, and be careful with them if they are metal. The threads on the axles are very soft and will strip easy with the metal ones.

Nice build...I am glad to see those pargu on a car...I have been eyeing them for my car...I want to anno mine black...They accept modern tires correct ????

Looking good! I also love the JPS body.

The front shock tower looks to be a 6 hole CE version that was trimmed down. The steering is Losi, good stuff there

Thanks for the feedback so far...I will change the nut around. I may invest on new towers at
some point - maybe carbon fibre.

One thing is that the front wheels are a bit wobbly - there is some lateral play. I wanted to eliminate this by placing some shims. Any suggestions on the sizes needed?

Yeah, 2.2. When you order from pargu you can ask him to do the anodizing for you for a little extra. I had mine done locally as I needed other parts matching.

I did not know that...Thanks...When I order mine I will definitely ask about that...I have always liked them but was hesitant to order them until I saw them on a car...I think they look really good and for the price you can't beat them...

Good to know, but bear in mind they will add considerable weight to the car. I intend to run mine, but not for racing just the occasional stroll!

The 3/16 shims for the rear axles on newer cars will fit your fronts
Associated 7368 3/16 x .010 shim set

Same here with the one I am building...Not a racer but something to take to the tennis courts and have fun with...
