Hi, I just bought a vintage Reedy Ultra Mr K's motor, this one:

I would like to buy a stash of spare brushes for it. Could you please let me know what type I am looking for.
I have no idea whether it is laydown, stand up, etc. I searched Ebay for "Reedy brushes" and there are loads
of options! If you could please help me find something or explain which variants are better or worse I would
kindly appreciate it!

Brushes are brushes and they will all come out of the same factories in China, you don't need to buy Reedy brushes for a Reedy motor. Take your pick on brushes, harder brushes will give you better performance but will damage the comm faster.

My personal choice has always been Reedy 737 and 767 brushes, in all my motors. Good all round brushes that last a good while and don't do much comm damage so can go a good while before skimming the comm to clean it up. The 737s are stand up brushes and 767s are laydowns, they are the same material, just with the face shaped to fit the two different orientations. You want stand up brushes for that motor, so 737s. I buy brushes in bulk as I still offer a rebuild service and as it is difficult to get stand ups in bulk I buy 767s and reprofile the face.

stand up brushes what you need,any one standup work but some are made to increase timeing.A laydown brush is basicly layed on its side and not as tall as standup.don
