Well, here is my ugly duckling. I saw it on eBay with a low but it now and pulled the trigger before closely examining it. Still glad i did. It was beat up, chassis was homemade and longer than stock, and it was missing a lot. It did have a nice set of aluminum wheels which will probably be sold. I actually did run it before stripping it, and although beat up it did run

Brian, rc10resto, was kind enough to loan me a chassis to copy. The upper deck, battery tray, and rear brace are fabricated. It has the red ball heavy duty rear dogbones and hot trick lower arms and front shock tower.

And here she is just about finished up. Need some shock parts and a body.

Looks great. Are those hot trick or Lohas's repro parts? I hope you plan to use the Advance Aluminum mags. I saw they had a bit of rash but with a little sandpaper and polish they would look like chrome

They are original parts, the previous owner drilled the rear tower and did some work on the front so I had them anodized gold, along with the shocks. Turned out a nice dull gold. I was tempted to get the lohas package and have them anodized gold instead of red but decided it didn't matter on this one as it still shows a lot of wear anyway

Most of the "rash" on the wheels is just glue I was pleasantly surprised. I think they will polish well

Well, here she is in finished form minus body- I actually just put the foamies back on and took it for a spin (with plactic over the chassis!) a few minutes ago- drives much nicer now!

that turned out great. That really was an ugly start of something unknown to begin with. Even though still shows wear it still shows nicely. The more I see these things the more I want one
