Hello folks. Im new here. I didnt see a trader section, is there one? Or, do we trade in the regular forums? If no on both, can you point me to a good place to inquire about vintage parts,, besides ebay of course. After about 10 years of abstinence from the rc car scene, I have just recently un boxed all my stuff and begun building the projects I had collected. Currently the list is topped with belt driven lazer variants, and optima mid variants. So, so many possibilities with those platforms! Rally, on road, off road, basher, full option... Ill have 1 of each pretty easy.
Just got through building a celica gt4 wrc roller. Was used, but all there except body! 2 speed trans! Will post pics soon. Also finished an odly optioned lwb mid. Has lazer shock towers I think though. Currently scrounging parts for a ghetto fab ultima pro / triumph / prox...and another mid using the A&L chassis.

Looking forward to some pictures and your project ideas. As for the trading/buying/selling of stuff, the forum has some guidelines and rules before you will be granted access to the Buy/Sell/Trade section, it's to provide a little protection & peace-of-mind for you and our existing members.

I just now found the B/S/T section. No worries,, Looks like a few other forums could take a lesson from these requirements. Some folks may or may not recognize my email. Ive been around and doing this for years and years.
Going to get pics of my current favorite ASAP.

Now mind you, this was a simple re build,, and not a restoration. Its dusty, scratched, theres a tick noise in the gear box,,, but its all there! Soon enough it will get a new chassis, and generally cleaned and spruced up. Also have the sway bars to go on. Missing details,, factory wheels and body! The battery locators are also in a box, but Im trying to make all my current builds at least lipo compatible and possibly brushless. Its doubtful that 2 speed would hold up to a brushless motor though, so this one will just get lipo. Pretty sure the shocks are unique to this model, but most everything else is off the shelf mix and match from the then current lineup.

More pictures. Is it better to post photobucket links to get bigger pics? At 256 kib,, you cant see all the dirt on the model!

Wow!!!a 2 speed. I wonder if that's a direct bolt on for an optima mid.

Yes, the 2 speed was originally produced for this very model,, which is a narrowed optima mid. The kicker is the top shaft. A tf 2 speed top shaft is not the one. I dont have a part number either. Im working on having a friend lathe me a couple up.
