Art inspired by music

Hi guys, I have started producing art inspired by music. It is a new project just getting off the ground now. Luckily I just got into a gallery. The next batch will be much darker and more moody, with black backgrounds and more free form experimental chaos. New work updates should appear every friday. It would be cool to get some feedback (good or bad is cool) and really great if you could forward my links onto your mates.

Of course any sales due to the links being passed on would result in my happy donation towards this site and whoever helps me out along the way.

Thanks kindly, Paul :D

Wow Paul, very cool! I'll look thru it a bit more at home tonight. My monitor here at work sucks right now until my new one comes in so it really doesn't do anything justice...

Very kind of you. However feel free to have strong opionons against the work. Constructive crtiisism with ideas for a new direction would be very handy to hear. I intend to use spray paints and blended rc hobby paints next... yes there is a slight RC10 link

MelvinsArmy - The mod on this forum is an art scholar and will probably have more intelligent opinions than myself. I just wish I had the slightest bit of artistic ability. I've always wanted to be able to do something like that, but the images in my head will simply not transfer thru my hand and on to paper. :x I hope you have great success!

HA! That's very kind of you, but I'm hardly a scholar. Just very opinionated and passionate about this stuff.

Congrats on the show Paul. I hope you make some sales. I was trying to figure out your technique. Do you mask off the white area and then do the drip painting/marbleize paint and then remove your mask?

I've been very busy in the studio myself lately. I moved across the country six months ago and have been getting settled in and also enjoying the summer, I hadn't been getting any painting done. It's nice to be back at it. Not to hijack, but here's a link to my work:

That is really impressive and stunning work! Incredible patience required too. I am humbled.

I have not done any highly realistic painting styles since my art college days. After a long time in graphics I got rather sent in another direction. In fact the last realistic image I produced was given to my Dad in 1996 or so.

Each painting was done in a different way and each time I try another method. Next up is aerosol, inks, model paints. So far I have used acrylic, nail varnish, DIY paints, loads of things. As long as it is experimental and new to me I will be happy. Still searching for my ultimate method.

If anyone else has some art lets share them here :)
