Hello All,

Here is a pretty great early Cable conversion. One gentleman mentioned they thought they might have seen this photographed at a Southern California track. Any help tracking down old photos of it running would be great. Special Thanks to Eustace Moore for his donation.

Very cool, I like the rear tower that has been reshaped, and I had never noticed that the motor plate shifts over with the conversion. Great pics, very nice!

A unicorn with glitter. That's a sweet conversion. It has the torque limiter on the front transmission top shaft. I like how they used the holiday buggy rear wheels for the front wheels those front knuckles look interesting

There was a cable conversion in one of those books you'd buy at the school book fair once a year, and for YEARS I couldn't figure out what it was lol

What tires are those? The body mounts are just bent Kydex, correct?

They look like JG mfg. body mounts?

That's what I thought too, but I have only seen grainy pictures in magazines. I want to make a couple for myself.

I will take a better look at the truck body mounts, but I think they are manufactured and chopped to fit. The wheels are the only thing i had to replace, the originals were dried and shredded. I replaced them with exactly the same brand and model of course. They are Vintage Kyosho and look great on the truck. Thanks for all the nice comments, and I am very glad you all enjoy seeing these as raced cars, they really are special.

They are JG body mounts.

the tyres come from which vintage kyosho truck ??

Those tires are from the kyosho Datsun step side
