Hi guys, i just tried to use a Tamiya multi tool wrench on some RC10 wheel nuts. Of course it was a fail due to different sizes! Is there a multi tool out there which fits both front and rear RC10 wheels?

Thanks :D

between the tamiya multi-tool and this tool:

that covers most of the hex sizes you need.

I'm taking a closer look at that 4 way, and it's different than the one I have. I am having trouble figuring out which one it is, but I have one that I know has at least a 1/4" and maybe even 3/16" as well. I want to say it was an older trinity version or something.

Thanks. I just measured my axle nuts to be...

Front (Worlds plastic nut) = 1/4" / 6.28mm nut width

Rear (original stepped UJ) = 0.34" or 11/32" / +8.6 mm nut width

Most of the nuts and pivot balls, as well as the turnbuckles and shocks:

3/16" for the pivot balls and a slot for the smaller rod ends:

Not sure if you are running this buggy, but if you are swap out the plastic nuts for metal. My wheel came off when I hit a pipe during a qualifier when I was running plastic.

Re: plastic nuts

I already had a steel nut strip the (frankly stupid) alloy front axles. I had to dremel it off! For now I will stick with plastic nuts. In time I hope to buy or comission bespoke hard steel front axles. No one seems to sell the inline worlds design in steel or ti. Odd!

The front axles are 5-40 thread on the aluminum, same size as the gold slipper nut. Nut looks identical and same size hex.

You could go to the old style inline steel axles/4-40 nuts and inline steering arms if you want steel

p/n 6217 and 6218

Thanks! I did not know the 6217 hub was compatible to the worlds kit hub carrier. is the bearing surface exactly the same size? :D

Yup, it was a running change on the champ kits at the end of the run but works just fine.
