carpet oval

Anyone here racing still carpet oval? We have a nice track about 45min from my place here on the east coast of canada. Seems like back in the 90's tracks/clubs where everwheres but now not many around. What there is left sems to be mainly east coast of the usa....

There are still a small group of people who run carpet oval in CT, but the numbers have dropped off big time over the last 4-5 years. The people that still run are very, very good.

I can't see carpet oval coming back anytime soon as carpet cars require tuning skills and driving skills which most SC drivers lack.

We started carpet oval racing last year. Loads of fun, but only because we have a ton of help. As was mentioned, the setup is incredibly detailed and necessary if you want to run with the fast guys.

After racing all forms of rc since the 80'd i'd say carpet oval is by far the hardest and most complicated to do. It doesen't sound like it would be but it is.....
