Welcome too the site.

O.s. has several engines that would fit perfectly and aren't too expensive. Check on tower hobbies and you'll fid a few.

got another question. I only have 20% nitro fuel wich is great for my thunder tiger, tho not sure about the Schumacher nitro 10, wondering if it is called that because it takes 10% nitro, any ideas would be great

You can run any of these smaller engines on 20%. The "10" in the name was for 1/10 scale.

Note the exhaust though. Some are rear exit and some are side exit. Make sure you can get a manifold in the style you are switching to if you switch exhaust style. I say this cause that's a rear exit engine and your car is most likely a side exit.

Also the carb style. If you have a rotary carb a slide carb may be difficult to to run your linkage to properly.

Which version Nitro 10 you have may change which engine you can fit easily*. The first versions were built specifically for the Irvine S15R (Mk1) or S15R2 (Mk2) engine, whereas the Mk3 was supplied with a Leo12 or Leo21 depending on model, or was provided with an engine mounting option kit (XR15, OPS15, NR15, MEGA15 / OS/LEO/TNT/YO 12 ps / OS/LEO/TNT/YO 12&15 no ps / ASP/SC 12 ps). The main difference is in the rear gearbox, and the chassis itself - the Mk3 has a slotted chassis to enable more engine options.

I have manuals and many spare parts for these models, if you have a need....

Alex

* I say easily, if you're mechanically-minded enough you can make any engine fit, I guess.....

im pretty sure its the mk 3 I attached a pic, that's very kind. looking at the servo position I don't think a slide carb would work, not sure on the exhaust, I could possibly fit exhaust pipe manifold tho prob better not too, Oli

Oli,

Don't have any experience with that particular engine unfortunately. From the pictures, it should be able to mount properly, pull start on the left, exhaust facing the rear of the car. You'll probably need to mix-and-match engine mounting kit bits to get everything to go correctly (engine mount blocks, clutch, throttle linkages, exhaust), but if you're willing to give it a go, you should be fine.

I'll be watching to see how you get on! Sorry I can't be much more help than that......

Alex
