Losi original short or long chassis?

I'm in the process of collecting the parts to build a JRX2 - it's not so easy from the UK as all parts are coming from overseas - there are few cars and parts in the UK. I'd ideally like to end up with one of the early short wheel base trailing arm cars. The part I'm struggling with at the moment is the chassis - can any tell me the length of the early short wheel base chassis and the later longer PRO chassis?
Thanks
Oh, I'm enjoying hearing you JRX stories and pictures - and where you find your parts!

Hi.....!
The original JRX-2 graphite chassis could be a problem if you want a new one - 25 years on from its original release there just aren't that many left unused. Obviously used ones do turn up on eBay from time to time, you've just got to be patient!
Sometimes it's just about being in the right place at the right time.
Good luck!

Thanks LosiXXXkid - I'm on Ebay daily hoping a short chassis will turn up. I've got a secondhand JRX2 in the post to me (from Canada) and I wanted to check whether it has the short or long chassis on it when it arrives. I suspect it will be the pro chassis but I'm ever the optimist. I actually my original JRX2 bodyshell from 20+ years ago but I'm not sure if it's a long or short one!

There are three sites that I go to for Losi parts but there may be others that I'm not aware of. In no particular order we have:
1) OLDRC -
http://www.oldrc.com
2) Wheelspin Models -
http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk
3)....and (no surprise!) - eBay
Hope this helps.
PS: Don't forget photo's when your new (to you) JRX-2 arrives. We
love photo's.

Thanks. Wheelspinmodels is a new one for me - I didn't realise they did old Losi part, thanks.
Seeing as I've got you helping me..... Do you all use the old cartridge type shock absorber seals or are the newer Pro/Pro Se direct replacements and better? The remember the old cartridge type being good at exploding and there don't appear to be that many of them about.

The replacements are upgraded with double o-rings, they are slightly longer and still available. Same part number I think?!

Yeah, I was surprised at Wheelspin Models when I found out about it through this forum. If you haven't already done so just put the Losi part number that you're looking for in the search bar, e.g. LOSA7, and all the relevant matches will come up. Obviously there will be a lot of parts that they don't have, like the graphite chassis that you're looking for, but they do seem to carry a lot of the smaller parts that you might struggle to find elsewhere.
As far as the old style shock cartridges go, part number A-5006, you will probably find it difficult to find them NIP but they are out there used. Unless you want to go for a full on 100% restoration, I would settle for the newer shock cartridge, part number A-5015.
Hope this helps.
