Tamiya owns that bandwagon. I'm waiting for them to re-release the Monster Beetle!

It's a very pretty car but there is only one Tamiya car in my entire collection, and it wasn't even sold by Tamiya. 8)

I expected more from you Dennis! It's a FXT
I don't own any Strikers

How true is this Egress to the original? I had an Avante but it was ages ago, and I don't remember much about the Egress except the titanium screws!

Ha, they invented the re-re market. Is there a car Tamiya made which has not yet been re-re'd?

Can remember drooling over the A4 poster I had of the Egress on my bedroom wall (IIRC it had photos of various other models in the range on the other side - the models shown in that typical Tamiya pose with body on car with the chassis only in front shot) - also had a second poster with the Astute on it!

I was sold on these images but quickly realised once I started going to the local racing club that Tamiyas didn't make competition grade cars & even those aimed for the racing market (Avante, Egress etc) were over complicated, heavy & fragile.... as such I've never seen an Egress running let alone on a track!

I know that Jamie Booth campained an Egress to considerable success here in the UK so they can't be all bad & of all the Tamiya Re-Res this is the one that is really tempting me... but i'd have to run it just to see how it went!

When I started racing Darren Styles drove for Tamiya and he piloted an Egress with a degree of success. The damn thing used to scare me when I was marshalling, it was powered by LRP motors, which at that time was THE motor to have, it was so damn fast it was scary! (In a straight line I hasten to add!)
