TRX-1 Build

I have been looking at the forums for a long time an I finally decided to join.
My first hobby grade car was a Traxxas Rad2 (kit) which I sold to get my RC10 World's Car. I still have the World's Car, but I had to rebuild my Rad2 (Custom) which I will put in another post.
Anyway here are the parts I have so far for my TRX-1. I always wanted one but could not afford one when they were popular.
The only parts I am missing are the chassis (important) and the drag link.

My options for the chassis....
1.) find one on eBay
2.) Modify a LS-II chassis that I have
3.) Order carbon fiber with the kick-up (Composite Craft might run some soon)

SRT is also in the works

Nice collection of NIP parts. You have some real hard to find NIP parts there. Good luck with the build. Will be watching.

Do the parts need to be NIP? I am sure I have several NIP drag link assemblies, and a spare used chassis. LMK -Jeff

I put in a order for bearings once I get those I can get this build going.
There may be another TRX-1 on the way. A coworker of mine happened to have one that he wants to sell.
Depending on the price I may hopefully have a runner and one for the shelf.

We still have B/S/T rules here- I will not field one complaint for anything outside that forum-

Here is an update. I had some time to build the transmission.
Had a VXL slipper clutch in, but the dust cover did not fit so I put in the original.
I will use the VXl on my SRT build when I get to it.

Just scored a TRX1 for cheap on ebay......lucky find just checking on random postings.
I will at least have a chassis now. Maybe a new one eventually.
Too bad I just bought new shocks for this build. I am sure I can find a home for all the parts. :)

Here is the parts car i just got.
Disassembled, cleaned, re-dyed the black parts and patched the chassis.
After a nice sanding and polish I think the chassis will look good.

Got this one cleaned up. I think this thread will turn into a double build thread.....runner and shelfer.
Doesn't it always happen this way?
I can't believe the number of screws I took out of this thing that did not go with it. Lukily some looked Kyosho and at least metric.

I also included a picture of the holes fixed......not sure why they were there in the first place.

I used charcoal that is used in fish tank filter cartridges.
Crushed it and mixed with the epoxy. Used tape on top side and filled holes from bottom then sanded.
After one day of running the bottom will probably blend in. :)

My Chassis is on the way. So I can hopefully get both cars done and posted up here soon.

Chassis from Composite Craft is here!!! Looks great!!
Thanks rctodd for helping me get in contact with Composite Craft.

Here are some pictures of the continuation of both builds. I hope to get a lot done this weekend on them.
I have been doing prep work.....shocks, tie rods, transmission...so it should go fast.
An SRT (some Fiber-Lyte Parts) will also be worked on, but probably no build thread.
