AE Bellcrank Steering Kit

Ok, another question since my RC10 classic is my first 6 gear. Can anyone tell me how to properly install the bell crank steering? What do I do with the little plastic washers on the parts tree? I'm guessing the nylon screw is installed upside-down (in comparing with the A&L unit) in order to hold everything together? Why is there another middle link? Should it be the same length as the stock one? Once I am inside the castle, how do I find Count Rugen?

The other link it comes with is to replace the "z" link for the steering servo
They don't show the thin washers used in the manual but I'm pretty sure I remember using the on the chassis side and carefully installing the nut down over them

What is everyone using for turnbuckles? I can stand threaded rod. I was only planning on two mods for my Classic: bearings and steering. But, I think I may add turnbuckles for convenience.

Kelley @ Lunsford Racing is working on Turnbuckles as we speak for the classic. Something retro/vintage I believe.

I just got my two steering kits from Tower yesterday. Did anyone else get fugly 8/32 screws that look like they're dipped in green paint and not anodized? Are the screws in the Classic kits like this also?

One kit I built was fine, the 2nd kit had 4 of the "green" screws. I had plenty of "good" screws to fix it though.

I got mine straight from Associated and they don't match the old school screws. Who cares though, I'm just happy to have decent steering now!
