Hi... I'll post a picture of my truck when I get a chance. I've upgraded the bellcranks to the ball bearing setup, but there's still a lot of sloppiness compared to my xxxnt. I know the xxxnt is a way more modern truck, but I think its a combination of a BUNCH of things. First off, the long skinny piece that connects the bellcranks together seems to bend quite a bit. is there an aluminum replacement/ or upgrade I can buy?

When the front wheels are secured on the axles, they seem to wobble. They are the stock rims. I'm not sure if its the knuckle, carrier, or what.
I'm going to replace all the turnbuckles and plastic pieces first. For one, none of them match! It would be nice if they all matched lol. Is there a complete set out there or do I have to buy certain sizes? Do you know the sizes in length off hand? I read in another LXT thread that someone had a jammin' servo kit. Better than servo tape? Can this still be bought somewhere? Is it LX-T specific? If not, What is the best kind of servo tape to use?

The standard steering on the jrx cars does tend to gain a fair amount of slop especially in the stepped bolts that secure the bell cranks to the drag link. In addition you are dealing with a car that is almost a quarter century old, the original ball cups tend to wear and most likely the balls are worn slightly undersized at this point as well. You may also have some slop in the hinge pins and king pin... and those bearings as well.

Your best bet in trying to combat this would be to replace the ballcups first, followed by the front wheel bearings. The next step would be to find new bell crank parts if there is too much slop where they mount to the drag link followed by the actual balls themselves.

As for the servo... There is always the classic servo mounting technique that works real well... Shoe Goo.

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I will start buying stuff. The bellcrank arms themselves are brand new with the bearing upgrade.

The bearing upgrade is pretty nice, but some of the wear ends up in the tips where the small screw goes.. although being new this should be minimized at this point :)
