There are supposed to be 3 engine options:

V8 400+hp (current 5 Liter)
V6 300hp (current six)
I4 310hp (Ecotech Turbo)

Other Strong Rumors:
- Will corner better than the 2012 Boss
- Independent rear suspension

Love the rear end, and the profile. Not so keen on the front end. I do like the turbo 4 cylinder option! It looks like it's a bit smaller overall as well... pretty sweet!

that's an ugly car. even if i was a ford guy, i would say that's an ugly car. i think they've been ugly since the redesign in 2009 or 2010 and they just keep getting worse.

2005-08...... i would take one. especially a saleen parnelli jones edition.

I completely agree. Ford hit a home run with their initial introduction of the "retro" Mustang. Each subsequent year, they changed something here and there, and the overall design got further and further away from how beautiful it was--which was the whole reason for bringing back that retro design in the FIRST place. Now it's looking worse and worse with each stylistic change-merely-for-the-sake-of-change.

I'm sorry, but I had to say the '79 "Capri" 'Stangs were arguably the lowest point in that revered nameplate's history.

To me it looks like they are trying more and more to appeal to the sports car market, which from Fords standpoint is probably smarter in their case as it appeals to a greater mass (hence the worlds mustang). It's not my cup of tea. If I wanted a mustang I'd go out and buy an old one before I bought a new one.

One car that I think nailed it is the Challenger when it came out. Best looking retro car in my opinion.

I thought the flared fenders were bad ass. My first car was an 82 mustang that eventually morphed into a GT before I crashed it. Someday I want to build another fox chassis mustang with Capri fenders, SVO body work and a supercharged 302.

As for the 2015, I'll wait till I see it on the street before passing judgement. Photos can always distort the true look.

The Mustang 2 was by far the worst.

This new one reminds me of that Hyundai sports car.

Swollen and bloated are the words that come to mind. Even the dash looks like it had an allergic reaction to a peanut. :?

The pic where it's shown with the classic mustang is like overweight dudes in they're 50's showing you how fit they were when they were 15. It's old Kirk vs. young Kirk. Old Elvis vs young Elvis.

IRS on a RWD performance car? Hello, and welcome to 1961, Ford... about time you got here.

As for the styling, I don't hate it, but it doesn't seem terribly special. Way better than the blobby mid-90s ones. But doesn't make me want to be seen in it. Reserving judgment until I see one in person.

Glad to hear of a turbo 4 option. I like V8s as much as the next guy, but I don't think gas is going back below $3 a gallon ever again.

I knew Ford was going to move away from the retro thing to capture some of the youth market, but that’s not the look I was hoping for. From the front/side It looks more like a two door Fusion or Taurus, which would be cool as long they didn't put a Mustang badge on it. On the bright side it’s supposed to be way lighter and have more power and in theory it should outperform the current car (my ’11 5.0 GT ran 12.7@112 completely stock). I’ll give it a little time before I decide if I hate it or not, in 2010 when the new Camaros hit the street I thought they were absolutely hideous but after a while they slowly grew on me.
