please bare with me, I'm new to 1/4 scale never ran dual servos for steering, I have a three channel radio and reciever, I am not sure how to use the aux input for the second servo. Could I use a y cable into one slot on the receiver?

Y splitter it is. I run one in my 5th scale gas truck. The Clod as well. A cap on the receiver and a BEC would not hurt either.
Getting them set up to run in unison is the only hard part.

Cap= capacitor.
Just use a tie rod from horn to horn and they will work together and not seperate

where in the circuit would the cap be most efficient?

You can install it on the receiver in any unused channel or battery slot.

there are two futaba S3305 servos on the front end for steering and a duratrax sx100 servo for the throttle and brake. Would these servos work with a JR R135 receiver and JR XR3i transmitter? I am a spring chicken with RC electronics forgive my ignorance =). These servos are analog so would I need a different receiver?

also when I plug in the battery pack to the receiver, the servos move slightly then nothing
