3 versions of the 3 degree arm mounts?

I've got a couple of pairs of the T2 black 3 degree mounts that are rounded at the back, and a pair of these white 3 degree mounts that are only partially rounded at the back:

Then, while looking through old RCCA scans I noticed the pic from Cliff Lett's Team Car Setup article that shows white 0 and 3 degree mounts that are squared at both ends and have the degrees marked on the bottom:

I picked up my white ones loose from my LHS owner's old parts bin so I don't know what era RC10/10T they came on. Anyone care to speculate?

The only electric RC10 version that came with white 3 deg mounts was the 7035 RC10T Team Truck.
There are some that are marked 3* on the header, and are squared...but they are three degrees in totality, since there is a left 1.5* and a right 1.5* in the package. All the white 0* were rounded off too.

Do you have a pic of what the white ones that came on the 7035 10T looked like?

I can attest to the white ones I have actually creating 3 degrees of toe per side using just the mount....not including any extra toe from the hub carrier.
As for the one's in the RCCA/Lett article, the 0 and 3 degree mounts share the same part numbers as the 0 and 3 degree blocks that the T2 blocks used so I will guess at them also giving the stated amount of toe to each side, and not being a cumulative toe measurement. I also base the guess on that there'd be no way to get 0 degree of total toe, for both sides, unless each side was a 0 degree block...or you mounted 1.5 degree carriers on the flipped sides.
All the white 0* were rounded off too.
Did you mean squared off? I've never seen a 0 degree block, white, black, or other, that was rounded on either side.

Can you use the RC10GT 3* rear blocks?

No.
If you could, arm mount availability wouldn't have been a problem all these years.

GT arm mounts move the arms forward and shorten the wheelbase.

I have 2 unbuilt #7035 Team's (both "mid" B stamps), and they both have these *3 mounts. They look to be the same as the one's shown in your first post Phin. Hope this helps.

Phin, I forgot about this thread (happening a lot

). Thanks Marlo for the image, the others are just 1.5's packaged saying 3*, and then the black T2 version with more support in the rear holes.

So you can use them? How much do they shorten the wheelbase? Looking at them, I'd guess quite significantly.

the mounting holes are off a slight bit too, if i remember correctly. meaning, you'd be running the screws in on angles (if using them on a non gt chassis).

Thanks Marlo, and no problem Charlie don't surf.
Don't know exactly how much the GT mounts shorten the wheelbase, and like scr8p said the mounting holes are off. So yeah you can use GT mounts on a RC10 chassis, but there's enough reason why you really shouldn't.

Hi, what is the angle of the 6360 rerelease arm mounts ? My classic have much more rear toe-in than my other RC10s.

Well, that's a great observation.
I got out my vernier (metric) and all I can say is there is some variation in the models I have. Measuring the outside of both hinge pins (by the e clip groove), assembled on the car, the difference in width front to rear seems to be 2 - 2.5 mm for blocks I believe to be 1.5 degrees. The blocks I have that are 3 degrees seem to be 6 mm different.
My re-re has a difference in hinge pin width, front to rear, of 6 mm.
This seems to be borne out by resting the re-re on top of my team car (1.5 hubs/1.5 arm mounts) and having the tires parallel. Maybe someone with an elaborate TC set up jig could confirm?

Any update on this? Would really be beneficial for us racers.

The classic has one and a half degree arm mounts and rear hubs for a total of three degrees..
