Picked this up from a friend on Facebook for $16 shipped. It's a bit rough and rusty, but seems complete and has a lot of the stuff I need to complete my other runner. Stealth transmission feels good. Not sure which version it is yet. Any help on that would be much appreciated!

Yeah I was sure of the transmission. Just not sure if it is a world's car maybe with the black chassis? It has universal s on the rear as well. Still not sure if the chassis has a letter stamp. Need to clean it up.

worlds chassis will be milled and have a cut nose plate. That things kinda a conglomeration... team front shocks, gold rears, some dyed parts some white, stealth, black chassis. Prob started out as a team car and had parts introduced as they broke lol

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Big hodge podge. Should be a good parts car then.

Not too shabby for $16! Maybe Facebook is more useful than I thought :)

I have no idea, guy I got it from got it in a lot with other cars.

I tore it down to see what all I can use. Almost all of the ball cups shattered when I popped them off. But I was shocked to see that none of the ball studs were rusty.
But the rear axles, diff outdrives, and turnbuckles are pretty bad. Bearings in the tranny are fine, but the steering rack bearings are toast. Most of the screws are rusty as well.

I am going to try and pick up some Metal Rescue and see if I can save some of it.

And for anyone wondering, I think all the white residue that was on the tub was beach sand. It washed right out and was a bit gritty in a few places.
I think it may have had a beach run and never got cleaned out. Which would also explain all the rust.

I'm a bit jealous of your $16 score on an old RC10. Congrats!

For what''s there it almost looks like a late team car due to the worlds style rear arms.. But it could be anything. I bet the ball studs are stainless.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I tore it down. May have started life as a team car anyway.

The only things that really look off about it being a late team car would be the rear shocks, the one nose tube, and the ball cups seem mismatched, otherwise it seems to be a late zebra colored team car.

Spent a few hours today dying parts. Everything is now black for my runner.

Still need to order some rc carbon works shock towers and some new ball cups.
