I would like to know what set of springs I can use on the TRX1 / Eagle LS shocks ?
Original spring set seems to be hard to find, or uncomplete.
Does Associated sets fits well ?

What's the good solution for rear and front ?

I believe a losi spring is a better fit, slightly larger OD.

thx for your answer. What losi springs ? The XXX one ?

In fact, here is the whole issue:
I will race a traxxas car in 2014 (just a few times).
Here is how it begins:

and nearly the actual situation :

I'm looking for the right solution for shocks.
I have rebuilt the original ones, but the diaphragm is no more efficient. Only still here for seal.
Also, I need a complet spring set (one for front and one for rear).
But in fact, is this the good idea too race them ? I think a more up to date shock set would be better.

What is your point of view ?
Original shocks with Losi spring sets ?

the hard anodized traxxas shocks are still available, as are the rebuild kits. There is really nothing wrong with them unless they are worn out. Losi springs from I beleive any buggy, jr series, xx, triple x probably all fit, but I'm not well versed in what size spring is on what vehicle.

I've had alot of good luck with the traxxas hardcoated shocks. Ive used mostly traxxas springs on them though. Never had enuf money to experiment with all the springs but a few of the locals used Losi like stated above. I Had to just experiment around with spacers and shock oil weights but got them 'workable' with the traxxas springs.

Thx for your interest.

Ok for the complete shoocks availability.
Fot the rebuilt, as I cannot find it neither on the bay and A-main, I used 2362 ref, witch is for actual shocks. Orings and clips (etc) are OK except the diaphragms.
I am looking for rebuilt kit ref 1662 or diaphragms ref 1665. still not found at the moment.

I have seen that TeamC TC02T springs were OK. It is a first step. Just a remark: they have really horrible colors...
I'm checking also for the right travel stops, in static first.

For a rebuild kit, the 2362 stuff will work. The bladders are a bit larger but will work fine. They take a little more effort to get them seated into the shock cap though.

As far as springs for the original shocks, I haven't had a whole lot of luck with that. Losi springs are much larger diameter. Associated springs are very close in diameter, but are a little smaller than the stock springs and require a bit of effort to get them seated onto the spring retainers properly. I had trouble finding correct length AE springs for the front of the TRX-1 shocks. I'm sure there's something out there, but all I had to work with was some tuning spring kits I had laying around for my T4 and B4. The truck fronts were too long and the buggy fronts were way too short.

Best thing to do IMO is get a set of Traxxas big bores. Direct bolt-on replacement. Had them on my TRX-1 and they worked great! Also, Losi XXX springs are a perfect fit. You'll need the 2660 fronts and 2661 rears. Not only was it a nice upgrade over the stock shocks, but my LHS also has a wall full of Losi springs, so no more hunting down springs.

Great answer, very clear.
I think it is a good shock solution for racing back my eagle LS.
My actual shocks are eeven not teflon coated. Just a question of budget at the moment. Racing will be for summer 2014, and I still need some extra parts.
