BigBores on a b4. Notice any huge advantage?

Going through my Christmas gift cards and trying to decide what parts to buy my buggies. I have heard many people say the bigbores help in handling, but would an occasional racer(once a month) like myself notice an improvement?
If my B4 gets the big bore upgrade, the B4 shocks will be moved over to my RC-10 (Woin), so it is like an upgrade for both at once.
Then I need to buy all the electronics for my RC-10 (Classic) and because of my stupidity I need to purchase another battery, so that is $80.00 out of my money.
Should I drop $100.00 on shocks, or save the money?
Thanks,
ED

I really don't know (trying to save / justify the cost myself) but I would do it just because its the latest and greatest

Don't forget that you'll need at least two spring kits too (as long as you make the right choice between soft, medium and hard setups), at $13.00 a pop.
I don't race much at all, like to practice more than anything, and just go with these:
http://stores.factoryone-rc.com/factoryone-ae-v1-v2-ultra-shock-bushing-kit-t4-1-b4-1-sc10-sc10gt-each-kit-does-four-shocks/. I managed to convince myself the extra $8 saves on rebuilds and gives them a little better feel, and $100/$8.99 is over 11, Spinal Tap pun intended.

So what's the point of these bushings vs the big bores?

I felt like my TRF201 landed off jumps in a more stable manor when I switched to big bores. If I was only racing once a month, I probably pass. With a good driver and setup, small bores are still very competitive.

You'll notice the biggest difference on a rough or bumpy track. No need to convert the whole shock though, As pretty much all the benefits come from the springs. You get less twist and binding in a larger diameter spring than a smaller one. Avid and ghea make conversions for the big bore springs or use Traxxas collars and the Associated springs and cups.

Agree with that....I noticed a huge difference when I changed to big bore springs on small bore shocks last year. My WOIN car now has this combo on and works great. The big bores on my bmax 2 only really feel different to me when landing off jumps so big bore springs were the big change for me. I am a very occasional racer these days however and only on v smooth track.
All That said my new RC10 is getting big bores!!!

I would agree The biggest change came from the B.B. springs. I am not 100% sold on the B.B. shocks tho.-J

Thanks for all the replys. Think I will hold off for now and buy more needed parts. Might add bb springs though.
