Which spares do you guys think I should have? What are the weak points in this car?

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
I've got quite a few hours at the race track with my re-re Worlds now and nothing has broken. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've never broken an arm on one of my cars. With that said, if getting parts is difficult for you, I'd grab a spare set of arms, rear arm mounts and get the RC10 hardware set that includes phillips head screws and a variety of hex head screws.

Front C hubs, front and rear arm mounts, arms and a front tower, I've seen a few of those break, and bought many cars with that broken on them as well.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Bought a new in box rere world's off an eBay private seller with a 100% rating. Since i dont know how old it is, What should I be prepared for re the transmission shaft issue?
Any other issues to get out ahead of before it arrives?
on edit: so i reviewed the "tale of two stealths" thread and AFAICT, the rere stealth case can be used with a B4 top shaft and V2 slipper OR, an original 6571 top shaft with an original slipper. is this correct? and if i have a bad top shaft, i'm not sure how i will be able to tell, and since i got it off ebay, will i be able to get any help from TA?it is new in box, but from a private seller

A new 9601 B4 top shaft is only about $7 online so it's not like you're screwed if AE can't/won't help.pcrussell50 wrote:and if i have a bad top shaft, i'm not sure how i will be able to tell, and since i got it off ebay, will i be able to get any help from TA?it is new in box, but from a private seller
My re-re Worlds has the tight spot in the transmission even with a 2nd shaft and I can't say I'm going to do anything about it beyond lubing the gears and running it. It's disappointing but not a deal breaker.

Yeah, $7 is nothing, I noticed that after the fact, not worried about going broke over that.Bottom Feeder wrote:pcrussell50 wrote: A new 9601 B4 top shaft is only about $7 online so it's not like you're screwed if AE can't/won't help.
Sooo... would you say that IF my top shaft is bad, (and we don't know that it will be), I will:
1) order a new rere top shaft
2) i've heard of the idlers being blamed for some problems... would you also order a new idler for this rere worlds tranny? and if so, which idler? the original or the rere? (i know they are different, but i was never clear on how the old vs new idlers interchange with each other and new vs. old cases.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Just buy a 6565 USA case and 6570 idler, that converts you back to old school and no more problems. I think the idlers are mostly to blame but you can't use old idler in worlds case.
In case you haven't watched this, I start with worlds case and gear, then swap out only case, then case and idler. The difference is amazing once the idler is gone

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
I have seen the video. Thanks for clarifying the order you tried things in, it was confusing (to my newbieness). Sweet. I already have a couple of 6565 cases. So just to make absolutely sure I've got you right:gomachv wrote:Just buy a 6565 USA case and 6570 idler, that converts you back to old school and no more problems. 1) use a 6565 case
2) use a 6570 idler
3) and use these with the rest of the rere world's tranny internals, (balls, diff, outdrives, bearings, etc)?

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Exactly. You move the idler bearings from the idler to the case, same bearings just different location

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
I use the RRP idler with no issues at all
Back when I raced, we used silver can Mabushi motors
and 2000-2400Mah NiMh batteries
And I stripped several of the black Idlers.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Yup you can use that one as well, but only with the 6565 USA case. The world's case won't work with that idler

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
hi all.
about the #6002 RR version,
my friend just got it today. after unbox and make a test to the gear box.
it still not works smooth........
look like AE still not fix the gear box problem,
just per assemble the kit and then ship out to customer.
so may be need to make a complain this time.
