Hopped up Hotshot

I've posted this in my TC showroom but wanted to share it here after renewing my appreciation of the trusty Hotshot!
The black alloy wheels were was the starting point for this project. The front and rear shocks are You – G, with Parma front and rear shock towers. Alloy hubs fitted with some alloy knuckles at home ready to fit. Front bumper is You-g, and the rear wing is Thorp DirtBurners. Parma bump steer eliminator kit. Motor is a dirt tuned Tamiya. Thorp ball diffs fitted. I cracked open my vintage body set and went with a white & candy blue body and wanted to keep the decals mainly to a few colours. I have to re-fit the front sway bar, just need to cut the body a touch more to do so. Love the hotshot, and I have enough parts left over to create another vintage model.

I dig it! I have a bone-stock Hotshot (re-release).

Can you show some pics of what is included in the "Parma bump steer eliminator kit"?

Thanks!

Here is pic from the auction I won. It's a very simple design and I'm not convinced it really works very well!

So it basically lowers the outside steering ball cup a few extra millimeters?

I'm not big on Tamiya, but I really like what you've done with that Hotshot. That's a great-looking car with some nice, functional upgrades.

Are the wheels Pargu's? I have a set of his (on Hotshot below), but I also have some old Gisom ones as well. The Gisom ones were standard rear width but the fronts have a deeper negative offset so you can fit rear tires on the front suspension and there is no binding. It's an interesting take from bitd.
What are the wheel adapters that you are using? I have not seen the 2 button ones like with the matching holes.
Very very nice indeed!

Good questions... I'm not sure of the wheels and bought the wheel hubs advertised as parma. However, they are different style from the positive drive blue anno ones that are typically seen.
Nice paint job on your HS!

Nice looking Hotshot. I like the white body with the red and blue parts.

Those are really nice looking knuckles. Take some photos of your 'shot on blocks when you are done! 8)
