RC10 World Car Question

I just picked a used worlds and just got it today. I started tearing it down and noticed the the chassis is real black yet the other anodized parts like nose piece rods and shock caps and motor plate have faded into an almost purple color. Does not look like the chassis was painted or powder coated but may have been re-anodized somewhere down the line. I have had many gold tubs and some time the anodizing color is just different. Was this true with the worlds as well or should I be worried? thnx

I don't know the reasoning like others will but its not uncommon. A lot of car will have that purplish tint to the stock caps and nose braces. At least I've had a few myself.

The Worlds chassis were hard anodized, and the other parts were standard black anno. For one reason or another, during that 1993-1994 period, much of the standard black parts like nose tubes, shock caps were a very purpleish black. Noses and motorplates would look kinda purple in direct light...but were mostly black ( non-milled C stamp chassis looked like this too, as did DS parts most of the time). What you have sounds pretty normal to me.
