Hey all,

I've never done any RC stuff except for a Cox control line plane back in the 70's. I bought my 14 year old son a Trx stampede for Christmas and that quickly led me to getting hooked. I picked up an RC10T4.1 as part of a garage sale "5 bins of junk for $100" sort of deal. In it were the parts from which I've managed to construct a Slash 2wd, an XTM X-cellerator, and my favorites, an RC18T and an Rc10T, which I believe is a 4.1. I'm still waiting on a few parts for a full resto on the T4, but I scrounged a Trinity 15T racing motor out of the bins and it is surprisingly fast. Fast enough that I now need a new front a-arm for it... :)

Speaking of which, do people recommend the RPM replacement parts or something else for the A-arms?

We have a wonderful track very close to our house (Elings Park) and just joined, though shocked how much harder it is to drive good lines than it looks on the youtube videos!

Anyway, thanks in advance for the advice I will no doubt be asking for in the coming weeks as I set this car up, probably a bit "old school" using some of the 10-year old racing parts I got in the garage sale deal.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like a good score you found there.

The RPM stuff is much more duarable to crashes and such.
