Re: CARBON BODY
My thoughts are you might as well couple it to a chassis with standoffs ala a double decker chassis and make it structural. You may revolutionize the industry.

Re: CARBON BODY
A carbon monocoque would be pretty cool. Might increase the center of gravity though. Carbon fiber is light, but lexan is lighter still.
My current vintage racing lineup:
Associated RC10 B2, RC10 Team Car, Losi XXT, XX4, XFactory X5, Schumacher CAT 2000

Re: CARBON BODY
you know. i was literally thinking about this earlier today. pair up a fiber-lyte chassis and nose plate. a few other carbon goodies and it would be one hell of a carbon build.
love to see where this goes either way.

Re: CARBON BODY
Mite be a limited market for one at best. Shelfers and the I have one crowd maybee . Runners and racers I would think prefer the lexan body. Just my 2 cents on bodies.Jerzi wrote:Is there an market for carbon bodies.

Re: CARBON BODY
For cosmetics it would be sweet! For running...I think your receiver would hate you
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Wow that looks very promising! Although I would have prefered a Protech I How much does it weigh?

Re: CARBON BODY
Well I had some left overs of the carbon cloth so I though what a hell.
This body will not be the lightest one but i hope it will be nice.
