the sc10 is a much better vehilce in almost every way. the only place the slash may be better is bashing around the back yard. trees will do less damage to a slash.

but this is a vintage associated site, so our opinions will be biased i'm sure.

i have a slash 4x4… pre-lcg, all hopped up with d8 shocks and stuff, and its a pretty solid truck imo.

ive had it at a track, i did ok with it, but i would think its far better a basher than a racer. the thing is tough as nails.

Kinda like walking into Home Depot and asking who makes better drills? Rigid or B&D.

Biased sampling aside, if you intend to race, the SC10.2 is a no-brainer.

For bashing, either will work, but TRX vehicles are designed with bashers as the target market, and as such, tend to have a little tougher suspension.

I have owed a Slash, SC10, and currently race an SC10.2. Like stated above, the trucks are no where in the same league. You want to jump 10ft in the air, get a Slash. You want to get a nice handling truck, get an SC10.2.

You can make a Slash perform but the amount of work and money involved will give you the fits. SC10.2 is a solid performer straight out of the box.
