Ok, I'm so tired of searching and common words like arm is not recognized. Maybe I'm just being lazy but can we please have a nice picture thread starting here showing the differences in the parts? For instance, I looked on the History page but it doesn't show a good picture or description in the Worlds arms. Don't get me started on the castor blocks, I'm about to searching that next.

The part number for a worlds rear arm didn't change, it was just an evolution. Have you seen the pics in the 25 years thread? They show the original, white late CE worlds style, and black worlds/even later CE.

It would be hard to put a thread together as the components changed during their run yet often kept the same number. The newest ReRe arms look just like a white worlds arm.

Here's a good arm length comparison pic posted by Y'ernat Al: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=27885&start=15#p285353

Phin, that's exactly what I was hoping to see. I guess I can see what you mean Gomachv, but it didn't show the front arms....and I assumed they were longer than the wide arms as I see everyone doing the WOIN builds. Can delete this thread.

There is a difference between an Associated "Worlds" and a RPM "Worlds". Associated never made a production longer arm for a buggy, the RPM is the long arm for a truck noseplate.

I thought you meant the rear "X" arms

You want to get more confused ask about the difference between the RPM RC10 Truck arms and the RPM RC10T arms.

Oh yeah? What about a set of JG truck arms...got those? You better not or I'll come find you for holding out on me.

When I'm writing anything about front arm lengths I like to only use "worlds" to refer to RPM Worlds arms, and I'll describe stock RC10 arms as either "short" or "Team" length. That also applies to RPM Team arms, and the most common version of Andy's arms. Luckily Andy's Sprint and Pro-Race arms don't get asked about too often. ;)

Jake's arms I'll refer to by name (or pseudonym) since they're their own lengths.

Speaking of arm lengths...The various arms I have from the cobra were measured up last night but of course I don't have those numbers handy. One set is the same as the wide arms, another set I think was around 50 mm pin to pin and lastly 66 mm on the long ones. I'd have to double check the numbers though.

does anyone make a team car length arm in delrin, like kleins?
i'd love to find a set of team length front arms to match the kleins i have in the rear.

i've yet to see any wide track arm copies machined in nylon or delrin. but i'm sure there is something out there for something else that would probably work. like the cobra arms johnboy is talking about, even though i believe they'd be a little wide at the arm mounts. and you have to hope the shock mounting point isn't a problem.

i designed these, and with the help of brian drawing them up and jake cutting them, i have a couple prototype pairs. they're 5mm longer than stock so you don't need to use gt wide axles to correct the offset to run b4 wheels. they still need a couple tweaks and testing.

I've been playing around with the Nemesis arms too.

Fronts are ~55mm pin to pin and rears are ~43mm.

The fronts are about 4mm longer than team arms but, like with the B2 carpet arms, the shock mounting holes are way further out. They're wide at the inside and mount nicely to 10T front bulkheads, which brings the shock mounting holes in where they need to be. Track width with Cobra arms on a truck bulkhead ends up in between short arms width and team arms width on a stock buggy kick-up.

Might not be a bad set-up for an oval build...i.e. sprint car or bomber.

Rear cobra arms will mount to RC10 arm mounts but the "sweep" on them is too great and the angle on the dogbones would be too out of whack. Shocks wouldn't mount too well either....even from the back of the shock tower.
