Hey guys just recently relocated to round rock and have noticed there are no good places to race in Austin. I'm looking to put together some parking lot race's every once in a while. I have access to a large L-shaped lot(fresh asphalt, very nice!),where we won't be bothered.

If there's enough interest? I was thinking about putting together a small Sunday morning race once a month, or so. For stock, modified, maybe even a vintage race (Electric only! RC10's).

Hobby Town there on Parmer and Mo Pac used to hold races in the parking lot on Saturdays, but I noticed the race trailer was at the south store there at Slaughter the last time I was there.

You might give them a call and see which store is having the races, I will say since the south store moved to it's new location, the parking lot there is a lot nicer.

My God Austin parking lot racing!

Was living on MoPac from 98 to 2000... good memories, Discount Hobbies, HobbyTown, and the likes... running EP TC in the middle of roaches in midsummer on the tacobell parking lot

Talk about TBT

Sorry I hijacked your thread - hope you find what you're looking for!

HAHAHAHA WOW quite a few Texans, and quite a few right here close too.

There is also an indoor dirt track in Cedar Park, but I have yet to go there, although good excuse to go eat at La Fronteria on 183.

The dirt track on 620 as far as I know has closed.

If you go there, snap some pics and post em!! I would love to see what they have to offer.

I am trying to get some dry rub shipped from Texas. It is going to cost more to get it here than what I pay for the product. A 5 pound box of some serious spice!

Sorry to take it off topic for a sec, I hope you guys get together and have some fun racing, and maybe bet some BBQ dinner on the outcome.
