Just a picture of one I don't see very often, NXT!

I bought this locally after it was already the old model, so I think it cost me a whopping $99 at the time. The darn Picco .12 engine was almost double that. I bought a nice Futaba FM radio just for this thing too.
And it was never truly driven. I never managed to get the flywheel on correctly. It always loosened so it would stall. I think I took it apart a dozen times trying to get it to work.
Now it sits on the shelf. Hasn't seen the dirt in 10 years probably. Makes me sad how much time I sunk into it and never really enjoyed it though.

There's no point having a used r/c car sitting around if you don't have any good memories of it. I would use it or sell it.
Do you think you could fix the problem?

I probably could now with a proper wrench and such.
It's low on the priority list though. I have a Clodbuster to modify and an Ofna to convert to electric.
Then I might take this one apart again and get it working.

I ventured into nitro once or twice over the years. I probably would've had more of them if I'd thought about using loc-tite back then

Yeah. Loctite was used after the first rebuild.
The initial build of the kit was delayed too due to the flywheel nut being incorrectly drilled. It's been the curse of the kit.

Nice NXT! I just love the look of losi's first gas truck. If you ever want to sell this off I would be interested. Is it a sign of a problem that I want a NXT just because I like their looks?
Anyways,

nice truck
