RW racing in UK made a ta01 frp chassis set. I think it would work for ta02ff as well.

Nope, unless you want a different wheelbase. You'd have to change the rear arms too.
Of the top of my head:
Tamiya:
- TA02 (shorter tub than TA01, different rear suspension)
- TA02W (200 mm wide)
- TA02SW (short wheelbase and wide)
- FF01
- FRP chassis set (TA02/FF01)
- Carbon chassis set (needs FRP chassis set for plastic parts)
Cross:
- Carbon top deck for original tub (TA01/TA02/FF01)
- Carbon top deck for original tub (FF01, also has quick release battery mount)
HPI:
- FRP chassis set (TA02)
- Carbon chassis set (TA02)
- Molded composite chassis (lengthwise battery, TA02)
Big Wave:
- Carbon chassis set (TA02)
- Carbon chassis set (FF01)
GPM may have had a chassis, too.

True, but any ta01 chassis will bolt up to ta02 even if it changes length,, so perhaps not intended to be specific for that car, the rw racing chassis should be a direct bolt on.

You won't regret it! They were awesome with dual 12turns and some monster pinions. Of course nowadays with brushless it's not as big of a deal

Well to know the knowledge,thanks
I have 53166 FRP chassis,it is very nice. and the HPI produtions are in very high quality, the molded chassis is best balance of the weight for racing

I like that hpi molded chassis. Would be perfect for a rally build.

You'll need to change the drive shaft. TA02 is too short for TA-01 chassis.
Edit: I guess I'll have to take pictures of my DF-01 with Tamiya chassis, TA01 with HPI FRP chassis, FF01 with the Big Wave chassis, and the quick release battery holder/top plate from Cross...

Ta01 ta02 df01 is very fun and interesting chassis. So many options and aftermarket parts for it. Like the propeller drive shaft. I found not less than 10 types of them. Tamiya stock shaft is weak, stainless hard drive shaft is better. Many others like carbon propeller, torque clutch, they are very special. Tamiya still released the ta01 02 stock plastic parts for like 20 years, very popular and will affect us for a long time.

Ta01-02 are the ONLY Tamiya I collect any more. Yes, good parts support to this day, and many aftermarket options. My favorites are ta01 buggy platforms, and rally cars. Very durable design, makes a great basher car. For years my "vacation car" was a ta01 escort cosworth. It went with us all the time on vacations, camping trips, pic nick outings...

Tamiya just released the steel propellar shaft for the ta01 02(short type), but many some after market special produtions are better designs,my collections just for ta01 LWB.

It is a clutch set, also have the Hotshot center drive clutch released.
