One of the planes that I fly at Republic Airlines. This plane is only two months old, and ate it's first cone. No major damage to the engine.

Just another day at work

The other cone was there for ages, it almost looks deliberate. I assume engines eating cones happens more often then you'd think?

I bet everyone in the industry is on edge with the missing Malaysian plane.

The other cone stayed in place because they typically taxi with only 1 engine.

Yes, this plane is parking and the #2 engine is shutdown. That side has the cargo doors on it and the ramp crew can approach it. Most of the time the taxi in to the gate is done with only one engine running.
We have a contract with AA to fly for them and have 46 new planes ordered, 22 have been delivered and 6 have been damaged that I know of.

What routes do you fly? Who knows you could have been my pilot for numerous trips around the country.

I'm based out of Chicago and fly the AA Flight numbers 42xx-43xx. These flights are Republic airlines planes and crews and are Embraer 175.

I´d like to get this guys number - I´ve got an old barn that needs a rebuild, and with the effort and care he puts in his work, I could have a new barn in no time....... Paid by the insurance

Hopefully he was beaten with a stick, fired and then beaten with a fresh stick.

Not sure I've ever flown Republic out of Chicago, but If I do, I'll be sure to ask the flight attendant if the pilot is into RC cars.

The worst thing that we've ever sucked up our engine at work was a ladder left in the test cell. On the runway the items are endless.
