I have worn my first set of RC10 Classic kit tires down until the front tires are shredded. I'd like to run something rubber on the kit wheels. Any suggestions?

Here is a post that may help you!

I was looking for the same thing and came to the conclusion that aside from Tamiya tires, there isn't much out there.

For the fronts it will be next to impossible to find anything for the original wheels other than original tires. Again some Tamiya stuff will fit. Rears same thing. If you go to the larger wheels then you have more options.

Good luck!

I wanna say there is a f/s thread in the b/s/t area that has some duratrax slicks that would work for you along with some others...can't remember right off the top of my head whose ad it is but its in the top 10 or so threads...

After spending last evening searching and talking with Joey, I decided to just buy some Tamiya FAV/Buggy Champ/Brat rear tires and a pair of the stock ribs. I really wanted to run a set of Custom Works 2.0 dirt oval tires but the price of wheels and adapters is pretty outrageous so this was the best option for me. I wish Proline would make their Dirt Hawgs in the appropriate size, but I'm sure that is not cost effective so I won't hold my breath.

I got my order of FAV rear tires in today. I got 4 tires (they were a good deal). After mounting up the rears, I started playing with the front wheels, trying to see if there was any way to get the tires to fit. Some stretching, bead trimming and some longer wheel screws and I was in business. I think it looks pretty good and (so far) they seem to be doing fine on the street.

Looking good. You can also narrow the fronts for a better look. There's a how to guide here http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=105650&sid=32228

That looks really slick, but I am too chicken to cut apart fresh tires and reglue them. I'm sure I would never get them to match up right.

I gave the car another run this morning and I am very happy with the setup. Tires have plenty of traction and I expect them to last quite a long time (especially given that I am running a very mild Tamiya Sport Tuned motor).

Digging those, I'm ordering a set. I'm wondering if Sand Scorcher fronts would fit.
