Yep it is, and in the bottom and action pictures you'll see the 4X4 conversion I did also.

Unfortunately I didn't have a lucky day:
first my wife got some trouble and we had to take her to the hospital in the morning.
Turned out to be a false alarm, and everything is ok again, but I only got at the meeting at about 1PM and in the hassle forgot my camera.

I only have 1 saddle pack to run the 4X4, but I didn't even finish that one: with the little shock travel and low groundclearance, plus lack of significant kick-up in the front it handled the jumps real bad. After a couple rounds one of the diffaxles slipped in side the diffgear and the fun was over.
Not sure what's next for this car: keep it as is (fixed) and run dirt or carpet only: no more jumps, OR turn it into a 190 mm touringcar.
Iwould like to keep it buggy style: but there's Nil action or tracks for this style inJapan I believe.

The 2X4 was rather tough to handle.
I had made several changes to mount the original arms and transmisson back: to confirm with the Yatabe rules. So the car was un-tested.
I got it to handle much better by the end of the second battery but I had several problems getting there. I actually had to replace almost every gear for different reasons.
Then eventually I made a bigger jump; landing right on the roof. and after that the ESC kept quitting all the time. (Note to self: dont gorget Aku's advise:really need practise).

All in all I was at he meeting for just 4hours and barely had time to take a close look at the other cars, but it was real cool to meet Aku and ofcourse Tanaka-san from timetunnel.
Big thanks to Tanaka-san for the pictures , especially the action pick of the 4X4.

I sure hope to join again for the next events while I'm still here.

On the 2X4 :
I removed the A&L: as Daryl told me it was released in (thinking) 1990?
Then put in a standard ultima house and moterplate. It started out with a home-brewn geardiff: using a 48 pitch maingear from a thorp balldiff and the meeting pinion.
The outer gears I used are alu and all kyosho module (M0.6?)
I got those outer gears in a LHS, but they turned out to be too worn and noisy, so I soon ditched them for the pro combo: 32 pitch and M0.6 only for the main gear of the spur.
Ran a couple rounds, then the thorp pinion slipped. When I tightened it back up , I destroyed the M3 tread I made in it to work with the geardiff.
(I will post pics in the coming days of this diff, and will try tapiing it for an M4).
So I replaced the diff with the standard ball-diff and a 32 pitch hardened pinion.

Aku assured me the A&L can be used, so I may mount it back on for next time (while keeping the stock pro one in the parts case: ready at all times ;)

On sunday, Mr.ED did really good job. Ton-Ton Land (a circuit) is placing in far away from a city and everybody get lost at the first time but he got to there alone! Unbelievable... :shock:
Actually it was great day, unusually sunny & warm for December, the best day for the RC.

RPS decal on my RC10 is not original, it's homemade with ALPS MD printer. I have also some original decals but I can't use it. It's too rare to use for cars running.

I have read A&L's instructions again. So, Daryl's words might be right. The trailing arms system for Ultima was released in during 1988 - 1989 but Lethal Weapon was introduced later than those chassis systems. I had misunderstood that they were sold at same time.
Tanaka was using Lethal Weapon tranny on his Ultima for the Yatabe race, but now it's detected, he had been doing violation. :mrgreen:

Hi Aku,
All credit goes to the car navigation system: I just entered the phone nr and it guided me there (in japanese).

I have only ran the A&L one time sofar. It seemed to work really well.
What was Tanaka-sans result when using this?

Last sunday was only a false alarm.
Yuka was all ok before I left her parents place to join the meeting.

She will go to the hospital next week for an operation: to make it possible to get children.
Ofcourse I'm a bit worried about the operation, but I'm also worried about getting children and how little time will be left for RC :oops:

The life with the kids is very happy, I think it's more fun than RC! :D
My children are not interested in RC yet, but we will enjoy it in the future. I'm looking forward to coming that time.

Well, Tanaka's A&L Ultima was running very well and I believe he got some prize at Yatabe race with that car.
Now I'm making A&L RC10 with lethal weapon tranny. You reminded me that I have A&L and have to make it :wink:
