Half way through the Malaysia GP and dozed off!

So boring! I wish they could get some parity in the sport for more passing. I know they have been trying for years, but again the lead cars are all spaced. The only close racing is back in the pack! I wish they would impose a weight penalty on the current top three. I love motor sports but with F1 it's nap time!

Know what you mean.. love the sound and speeds but the compettition is boring.. I am actually watching Indy Car today.. they are more evenly matched and it isn't an oval this time..

I recorded the race, was not staying up til 3 am to watch it.
I am liking the new season, the cars are interesting. Hopefully there will be more competition and passing this year.

The new engines are a travesty. Their sound couldn't be more lame.

The Malaysia track is also not one of the most brilliant (it's too wide). Near the end I was hoping they would have a real tropical rainstorm (like during qualifying), that would have spiced up things.

Yea, rain always makes it interesting! I think handicapping would still be a good idea! So this would mean yesterdays winner (Hamilton) would now carry an extra 100kg, second 75kg, and third place 50kg! If they keep placing in the top three, more weight gets added to the total! If they place out side of the top three, weight gets removed!

Did anyone notice how much air time the lower part of the field got during the race? Watching the race for 12th place for a full lap...you know nothing is going on when they are focusing on racing outside of the points.

That's because the only excitement was at the back of the pack!

It's also because of complaints a few years back where things happened in the back of the field and the cameras would keep focussing on the top of the field, where nothing happened due to a few teams being overpowered.
Red Bull is now whining at Renault for not producing a winning engine this year (second race of the year! Come on...

). Red Bull is annoying like that, anytime something doesn't go exactly their way they complain to others that the need to step up their game/change the rules/whatever.

Red Bull can suck on it. I like the approach they have, I applaud the effort as well. They have a great team and very good drivers, but it is time to move over and bring it all up to speed.
Regardless of the new engines and the sound, this will be a great season of racing. Have some patience and enjoy the racing, it will only get better from here on in.

Some much better passing this time, mostly against team mates!

Stupid commercials during some of the best passes of the race!

Mercedes power sure is dominant!

Watch the Sky version of the race. No commercials and you get more of the radio transmissions and interviews during the race.
