Has it been done before? If not, I think I'm gonna have to try.

I have a 10T sitting under a Parma GTP body right now.....1/10 foams and short shocks but still debating if I like the idea or not

That is exactly what I was thinking of doing. How does the track and wheelbase line up? I thought maybe the 10t would be too squarish.

I cut a longer chassis- about an inch or so. It's only slightly wider than i would like, it would be far too narrow with buggy arms. I am building it mid motor too btw. In the rear I'm using a oval buggy tower and need to source some of the gt/t2 arm adapters for relocating the shocks. In the front I have not made a tower yet
I am not happy with the look, it's just not "right" so I haven't bothered with pics yet.

I don't think you could hit 1:8 TC track and wheelbase with a 1:10 offroad unless you start off with a 1:10 SC truck...which Traxxas kinda did with their Rally. They still call it 1:10 though (which is stupid).
A Kyosho Super Ten or HPI Super RS4 body would fit a RC10 in the longer wheelbase position and with a little massaging of the track width but would probably only make it to 1:9 scale.
DeltaPlastik has some "historic" 1:8 bodies that would fit a truck but again you'd have to stretch the wheelbase and that might be a little harder to do. They've also got plenty of neat bodies that will fit a SC truck.

That looks great! front looks pretty good. Are those front wheels flipped around backwards to decrease the offset?

Nice! It took me far to long to realize why that's not possible in the back...
The B4's rear arms are about .5" shorter than the T. You would have to make some creative mounts though

If you ran the bbs adapters you may be able to but you also may run into clearance issues. Running them in the regular manner would make it way too wide

what about the bbs adapter with buggy rear arms?

I have a setup similar to that on a rampage, I will see how it would fit in the next day or two just need time to swap stuff around

1/10 cars based on 4WD offroaders had been popular in Europe, especially England and Germany, before the 200mm touring cars took over. Usually Schumacher, Yokomo or Lazers had been used. Frewer made a lot of interesting bodies as Alfa, BMW, Mercedes or the Peugeot.

But isn't 200m touring car still 1:10 scale? I'm talking about bumping up from 1:10 scale to 1:8 scale since I think a 1:8 scale onroad car would have a similar wheelbase and width as a 1:10 offroad car.

I´m talking about offroad cars converted to onroad, not about 200mm cars. This is much wider and longer wheelbase than the narrow touring cars, but 1/8 still is slightly wider and longer again.
The converted offroad cars are more something as 1/9 cars.
