This is the Bosscat I was lucky enough to grab from a forum member. I've seen many people looking for Cat and Bosscat slippers (apparently a lot of Bosscat Sports out there!) and since this one needed a shaft (bent shaft, slipper backplate tore up and drilled out) I decided to draw up an adapter shaft to run a SV2 slipper. This keeps the Schuey guys happy (not cross breeding) and parts are readily available.

This slipper has an odd drive that should have my machinist cussing like a sailor, but the goal is to produce a few of these. The bearing adapter is very similar to the stock one on the left side, however this one needs to be cut in half to install it. Schumacher uses a tiny 4mm shaft so loading the pulleys will have to happen from the left side, then the bearing adapter will slide over it, and the bearing will hold it together. Unlike stock, when this shaft and bearing adapter are installed they will not rely on the slipper backplate, meaning any shimming should be much easier.

I also have drawn up an associated shaft for a standard dual or b5 style but I don't think the Shuey guys are as interested.

I cannot say for sure. I was able to find this SV2 setup in the US but for the most part it looks like most pieces will be from overseas- keeping me from experimenting much.

The manuals and exploded views are down on the website, but in some searching it appears they are very similar

It's cheap, but for re-learning it should be fine. I don't need huge capacity, just decent precision and the size and upgradability was right.

I was keeping an eye on this before..... now watching with interest!!!!

I have a ways to go, the B4/hydra style shaft should be pretty easy but the Schumacher slipper shaft is going to be a PITA

Pita is cheap..... no yeast needed....

I'm not tooo proud to go with the B4 slipper assembly on my ProCat if its going to be that much easier to produce... I think the Associated items are likely to be cheaper aswell?

P.S; do you have a build thread for your Bosscat Gomachv - or have I missed it? The car looks sweet with the blue anodising!

No pics if the rebuild. It was just a simple cleanup in the ultrasonic cleaner with soap and water. DennisM sent rear brackets for me to copy and I still need shocks and of course the slipper shaft. I'll get better pics soon

I had to buy a couple more things for the lathe too
