Sweet low mileage '89 turbo survivor there. The turbo V6 was the bomb in those cars.

I have to swap out the computer tomorrow and clean it a ton more but other than swapping out some fluids and new tires it should be pretty much done. I am hoping for this one to be the easy car out of the group.

Awesome! I've lusted after one of those since they were new. Is that less than 7000 miles on the odometer?

Not yet they are still in storage. I should be digging out the 84 auto car sometime in the next couple of weeks.

That's cool - what kind of power did those put out back then?

I believe they we're (under)rated at 250hp and 345tq. In good air they were making closer to 280-300 and ran mid 13s @ 100+.

What he said. I have yet to drive it running correctly. I had to swap out the ecm and replace all the hoses to the wastegate actuator so it would stop over boosting.

The TTA is currently a very healthy and very fun car to drive. It got new wheels and tires with the originals being put up. The Porsche hasn't made it back to the shop because it can't be driven but we did bring this back to the shop.

That '89 TTA is definitely a rare bird...looks like only 1,555 were produced, so the chances of coming across one is highly unlikely. Sadly, that was the only version of the Camaro/Firebird/Trans Am lineup that had serious balls for that year. That's a very lucky owner!

His is number 1346 of the 1555. It is the best thirdgen f-body I have ever driven. It has the big brakes which other than the TTA you could only get with the cop package or as a 1LE car which was a no option car for racing.
