This was a trade with another member (thanks R Cane!) and due to short hours at work it will take a while to finish, but I thought I would put up some pics of where it's headed. I have some bolink onroad conversion wheels and foamies, and probably just some Associated shocks. Phin got me re-hooked on the Fastlane Exotics GT-110 body a while back and I finally stumbled across one for a good price a while back. I have not decided if I will try to strip the paint, probably not as although it doesn't match the chassis it is painted quite well

No, those will be for another project much further down the road! I think the only rear hop up arms for these were aluminum. Rare and spendy!

That body is...um...very deformed. Bulbous even, like a mutated creature from a Z-grade horror flick.

I loved the ad car when I was a kid and was stoked when I picked up a NIP body a year ago. The GT-110 is shaped the way it is because it was designed to fit over the Frog and other buggies.

Knowing you, I'm surprised you haven't already gone the other route to matching the chassis and body colors.

Come on now, as much as I would love to order a sheet of blue G10 from McMaster Carr, strip and anno the parts green, and maybe the shocks blue.....I couldn't do that to good survivor parts. I only re anno ReRe parts or used parts that need refinishing anyway. I have morals! Lol

There was a GT110 body on ebay last year I was so tempted to pull the trigger. That was the body I had on my first car (hornet) and I've been thinking about getting another one. Since I still had my original body, I decided to not to bid.

Glad you didn't bid because that was probably the GT-110 I won.

There's a NIP body listed on eBay now.

btw, I asked TBG and they are not interested in repopping it

They probably couldn't handle the super thick lexan anyway. With thinner lexan the repopped body would not only get smaller because of the typical cooling shrinkage, it'd also downscale a little because of the difference in the lexan thickness.

Received the ReRe trans parts, I have to say...Tamiya has lost a little bit of quality on some plastic mouldings! Still, it went together easily enough. The tethers didn't have anything to keep them in place so now they do lol. Otherwise they would rub the adapters

Next step....find some shocks. I'm thinking .56 's but can't decide between ReRe gold or stripped and polished. I have some metal clamps that I believe are Hot Trick to go with them.

I am still debating dying the front white parts to match the back end

That looks great Jeff, but I would either dye those front parts or swap them for black ones ideally.
