Masami's 1989 Reedy Invitational car.
Highlights:
-Custom graphite chassis with 3 forward and 4 rear battery slots.
-MIP SP1 transmission
-Andy's suspension arms (3 white + 1 black

)
-Yoke shocks in the rear Deltas laid down up front
-Custom shock towers and battery strap (rear tower looks like it's actually mounted to the back of the bulkhead

)
Way beyond my level of commitment but too cool a project car to not see replicated.

Interesting optima-like laydown front shocks. Wonder how it handled.

He came in 3rd.
Here are the scans of the articles that the pics were pulled from (second is in French):

Unfortunately no pics of the body used on the car. I couldn't even spot it anywhere in those pics of Masami in his collection of cars.

Masami would have still finished on the podium with an RC10L. That guy can drive!

Found some more pics on The Hirosaka R/C Legends site:

Looks like a different version of the car...chassis is narrower, all 4 arms are white, wheels and wings are changed, and it's got a Yoke under tray. The couple of body on pics don't show enough detail but it doesn't look like it's using Masami's typical paint scheme.
