Howdy,

So I am having a revision here and am rebuilding this TRX-1. So far I've got the transmission rebuilt and I pressed on a steel top gear. It was a little notchy so I beveled the idler gear slightly and ran the trans in with a drill. It spins super-free now. I will put a HobbyWing 17.5 combo in this. I also have some parts to dye black. I have some lighter colored shock bodies and the lighter blue caps for it also.

Gotta love the TRX3's outdrives and their conical shape. Awesome build!

Just an update with my TRX-1 "ish" runner. Just got it finished up with the electronics. Need to put some shorter shocks on the front. Was thinking about double deckering this thing somehow. We'll see.

No way! Those horrible colors are awesome. RC mania knows no bounds and I couldn't wait so I soldered up what came with the speedo. Green and pink though? Hmmmm...... keeping it that way for now but I understand how one could feel that way about my bright pink and green speedo wires.

They compliment the fluo yellow a&l steering parts well, and actuaaly are pretty much in line with the coulours popular on rc cars in those days. Remember the fluo chassis offered for the rc10T?

I gotta solve a rear wheel offset / rubbing situation (probably the rear carriers I am using) and then the old hot pink wheels are going on it anyway. Horrible colors of history. Hot pink is one of them.

Those wheels were standard for the Graupner radicator2 pro.
Switching to the 2.2 inch wheels of the Trx-3 will probably take away the rubbing issue

Well so here is an update:

Slammed an LRP Indy 600 in it and I have converted the front end to SuperWideTrack. We got RPM Nitro Rustler Front Arms with TCP caster blocks, SRT knuckles / steel axles. RPM rear arms, Raborn (10T) slipper, Thorp gearset, MIP CVD, Tamiya Dirt Tuned, with a crummy pack I soldered up.

Any particular reason for this modification?

Just messing around. I want to set this thing up for carpet "off road". I was putting together my version of the TCP wide front configuration (the arms are impossible to find).

So the TRX-1 front can run short TRX-3 arms, regular long 1931s, and xlong RPM nitro rustler arms.
