I picked this up off ebay in with a cat 2000 lot, I have been looking for one for ages, but I have never seen one marked as Euro. Any one know what the difference would be to the US version? It is totally mint and is still cellotaped into the pack. Cheers, Mark.

Euro versions were EFRA approved if I remember correctly. The armatures had different stack specs compared to what ROAR allowed here in the states. Every once in a while I still get motor lots that have a random "EFRA Approved" arm in a motor.

OK, thanks, that would make sense. I have also been looking out for a red can US version - looks like they are very difficult to find unused, I have seen a few used ones on ebay though, so maybe its just a case of being patient!

Cheers, Mark.

I'm not wanting to sound offensive, but the best thing to do is google Kinwald Dirtinator, and see what turns up..

It appears that there were quite a few versions and winds made over the years..

just trying to get a thread/conversation going, there would be no point having a forum if everyone just googled everything....

I really like these motors and wondered if anyone had any experience with them or have any in their posession that they could post pics of.

I picked this US one up from a Team Trinity driver, looks like its had one run, its mint. I carefully removed the solder off the tabs and now it looks like new :D

This will go in my Kinwald XXT replica once I get round to doing it.

Great that you found a mint euro version - I'm a little  if I am honest!!

There was also the version with the white can sticker and green writing, and then I think they started to go D2,D3 etc...

I do not have winding info for Euro Dirtinators but could they be the same as US versions (= red label motors) and difference is somewhere else? Anyway here are some scans that I have from Dirtinator motors. From file names You can find where scans are from and when they are first published. The last scan (1996-01 RCCA Trinity Catalog 3-F1024x768.jpg) specs seems to be for red label motors according the picture.

Here are some of my Kinwald`s
One of the four has a yellow label.
One red "Dirtinator" is also in my posession. Can also post a pic if you wish. Got them some time ago from a ebay auction. They all were team driver motors and have some special brush/spring combination. They still need to be cleaned and afterward dyno tested.

Greetings
Raimund

LRP BSE (=Blue SE?) might also be a team motor accoring to it's bottle's cap labeling. Is there similar kind of markins on the can on opposite side of can than the LRP can label?

Master Kinwaldo ran Losi XX/XXT with Kinwald motor line and LosiXX/XXT/XX-CR/XXT-CR/XX-4 with Dirtinators.

Excellent info chaps, there are some very knowledgeable people on here with some seriously good info to back it up. Correct me if I am wrong, Kinwald won WC with associated in 92, I presume with a Reedy motor? Then switched to Losi and Trinity in 93?

By the way, did you see the price of the rare earth magnet Trinity motors in the info above? £$225.00!!!!!!

I think I was extremely lucky to pick up this new motor - I got the whole package, car, radio gear, motors, speedo, servo etc. for £80, and I know I can sell the car for at least £60 on its own..... It will take pride of place in my new motor collection, which I know is going to cost me an arm and a leg..
