Thanks, Mark.

I used sx3 lipo trays in my Procat and I know a couple of people use them in there cat 2000 too if you don't mind adding a couple of holes.

Take a look

If you use the 2000EC lower deck, you can take a B44.0 lipo tray and cut it down the middle. Each half fits perfectly over the screw holes on the EC lower deck. You might be able to do the same with the 2000 lower deck, depending on where the holes are.

The following youtube.com link provides model numbers and an example. The LiPo part begins at 2:36.

Great, thanks guys, I'll get on ebay and source a B44 tray, I'll keep you posted on how I get on. I will also have a look at the Youtube links later. Cheers, Mark.

I forgot to mention - it is an EC - so hopefully no drilling of the chassis needed!! Cheers.

Here's a car that was raced locally with lipos for inspiration:

The CAT 2000 and CAT 3000 do not share the same chassis plate.

The CAT 2000 and CAT 2000 EC placed the motor toward the rear of the chassis with the batteries more forward. Though similar in layout, the CAT 2000 and CAT 2000 EC chassis are somewhat different from one another.

The CAT '98 shares the motor layout of the CAT 2000 and CAT 2000 EC but the batteries were angled along the right side of the chassis.

An example of the CAT 2000 (center) and CAT '98 (left) chassis can be found at the following link:

The CAT 3000 has the motor closer to the front of the chassis with the batteries more rearward.
