RC10 Team Car

Here is one of my newest additions to my RC10 collection.
Got it from a "buy now" auction right off the bay. I think it is a nice modified car and I got the information that it was driven by a former Italien Team Associated driver.
I will only clean it up and make no further modifications.

Can anybody tell me from which manufacturer the steering linkage is? I´ve seen this kind only once in the past from Ruffy`s Worlds car.

Greetings
Raimund

Ups, didn`t notice this detail
When the car arrived I took only a short look onto it and put it away because I work on my house and have no time for my hobby at the moment.
Thank you very much for your help

The steering bellcranks look like milled down RPS.

Hi integra22t,

yes, there is one under the hood. Asked myself the same question when I saw it the first time on ebay and when it arrived at home. It is slightly leaking but I have enough spare parts to rebuild it. The nice thing is that also a ETA gasket ist used instead of the normal gasket.

Hi scr8p,

thank you for your help. Do you mean RCPS? I didn`t hear from RPS.

Greetings

Nice car! Can't wait to see the final result, I love the team car :)

I think I got parts from the same guy ^^ http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=28582&start=1305

He had another rc10 buggy on the bay but stopped the auction

Hi Daniel,

you`re correct! I had my eyes also onto these parts but sometimes I had to to say to myself "enough is enough" and I am happy that a forum member was able to get them! Congratulations! I`ve seen your projects and the looks very nice! Love your Pavidis truck. Mark was one of my heroes when I was also a bit younger :-)

Greetings
Raimund

Hi Raimund,

thank you for your kind words! The t2 is in progress...the chassis is being adonited like the pavidis truck. I found the NER3 receiver, the yokomo springs, some.decals.and the right rcps turnbuckles :) the build will be very interesting as soon as the chassis is adonized and rebuild :)

This italian guy had a lot of really nice stuff :) it's rare to find such offers over here in EU

MfG,
Daniel

What was the reasoning back in the day for trimming down the chassis. Weight only?

weight was a factor but also being able to get the body down as low as possible helped airflow. You needed all the advantages you could get before the battery dropped. I'm sure there were more factors but that was just my experience with the battery guys.
