Hi.. some may have previously seen this car on here before well I decided to buy it. I started the clean up of it and so far it is a pretty clean buggy. This is my first kyosho ever though so I will likely have a lot of questions. first question is if the TBG belt guards would work on this and if so is it the LWB version? Also what body will fit this chassis? does it need to be a repro of a JG body or will any optima mid body work.

Looking at the shape of the chassis it wont fit the lwb body or undertray. You could either replace the chassis with ot122 or cut this one to follow ot122 shape. The lwb mids belt is 254xl. If the belt has that marking then the repro belt covers will fit. I heard from some one that this jg conversion came out before the official kyosho version so the extension might be longer than kyosho extension which is 18mm.

Nice find. Measure it and compare with regular LWB-dimensions below.
Edit: Sorry guys, IGNORE the pic above. Should be 238mm. Brain fart

I thought of that too lol . I think that both the JG optima mid chassis and the Houge chassis always had a bit sticking out . I've never heard of an available body to cover the whole chassis . Just my 2 cents .

I measured it to be about 240mm does this sound right? Also I was planning on running this at the track so I was wondering if this is a car for that or more something that should go on a shelf? I'm not planning on racing much just having fun when I'm up there and the other car I brought takes a dump.

Cant Be ,that's way too short. Even the SWB wont measure up at 240mm. are you sure the measuring points are correct ?

LOL, what the hell. I measured it all wrong. A second measure on an LWB chassis resulted in 238mm between the very same chassis holes.
That probably mean that a JG LWB chassis is actually longer.
I now understand what Fireboy means by "JG LWB Chassis Only" for this belt:

He is right, if the chassis is 7mm longer probably this belt may have 1 more tooth. It might be 255XL instead of 254XL. Best advice, I think you better change to SWB. I have an extra used chassis if you are interested.

238,5 mm is what I´m getting at the LWB chassis.

I get 244 mm by eye on an old runner chassis . Checked a SWB chassis and I get about 221 mm .
