Parma K Modified motor (Kyosho Le Mans based)

Some time ago I found an old Parma pricelist showing a Parma K Modified motor. K means Kyosho based, in this case the beautiful Le Mans can with aluminium endbell like Le Mans Gold. I´m aware of the Trinity World Champion 1985 Le Mans motor using such can http://classicrc.wordpress.com/motors/trinity/trinity-1985-world-champion/ with the special orange coating which is quite rare today, but never have seen any other motor using the same can.

Now the Parma K Modified motor is using exactly this can, even the colour is the same. Beside the pricelist I never have seen any Parma K until now, someone have seen this before?

Never seen that before, but I have one that is very similar...
Wish the label was as nice as yours!

I've got a gold Parma K modified as well. The sticker is barely readable. I haven't seen the orange one before.

I know your talking modifieds, but just ran across this Parma Kyosho Stock

RCCA Summer '86

What stock motot did Kyosho make that this was based on? Wasn't the 240st the only fixed endbell in that era?

1987 Kyosho released it's first own Le Mans fixed endbell motor 360ST but that was 550 can based. 1988 with Turbo Ultima Kyosho released 240ST. So that Kyosho based Parma stock from 1986 is quite interesting too.

And the 240st was a 22 turn or so wasn't it? Strange!

I also found some more info from Parma stock motors from Pienoismalli magazine form early 1987 and one from RCCA from 1987 too.

K-Stock (according the text in Pienoismalli magazine. I did not send that text part here, since it is written in finnish) part number 10816 is 27-turn (the editor has calculated the turns  ) stock motor with some advance in endbell position. Parma did also have at this time Yokomo based stock motor too part number 10815 "Pink can" stock that has 28 turns (the editor has not calculated turns so he was not sure about this) with 23 degree advantage.

Parma did also have aluminum end bell (see to last pics) as a hot up part, that might be Kyosho based part.

Don't some of the Trinity 1985/87 Monster Horsepower range of motors use the one piece can from Kyosho as well?

Could be they developed it early on and sold some to Parma and Trinity, but didn't use it themselves until the 240ST.

This is one of the Trinity motors using a onepiece Kyosho can, even when the endbell is reworked for using a modular setup http://classicrc.wordpress.com/motors/trinity/trinity-1985-world-champion-kyosho-slot/

Regarding the Parma Intercooler endbell, I bought a Parma aluminium endbell kit back in the days and it was very bad quality. But I´m not sure if it was the Intercooler or other endbell kit.

The Parma endbell kit I had was quite rough machining surface but the badest thing was it caused massive interferences for any reason. Back to the original endbell the interferences were gone.

The orange color on the Parma is like the Trinity motor can.

Since this thread is only a little over 8 years old I will bump it up with a few K mod pics. There was a small separation of the bottom packaging, so I just pried it a bit to get the motor out. This is a code #17 - 15 Quad.
