HI!... Well started working in this one as well. I didn't paint the body, it came with another car but the body was new and painted very well. Just not my choice of colours. lol. Might do something similar, but with blue/white/orange. I added a few decals to it to make it look better for now.

That's weird that the motor wire routing zip-ties in that particular location, which causes the body and wing to be crooked, pushed up on the right side. It looks like that on all your Bigwigs. If it were me, I'd file or Dremel a little notch in the black tub at the rear, allowing the motor wires to route directly into the tub. Kind of a design oops by Tamiya, IMHO. Just a thought. :)

EDIT: Although I like the notch idea better, after a closer look, it appears that the motor wires are intended to route down into the tub, as there's a recess there to permit that; the recess doesn't exist on the opposite side of the tub.

HI!... The wires are designed to run on the rim of the chassis. Tamiya pre drilled holes in that location to fasten the zip ties. No room to run the wires in the chassis. The 8.4 Volt battery kust barely fits itself. If I were to cut or notch the chassis the chassis would lose all its value.

I think I need to clarify. Yes, you zip-tie the wires where Tamiya pre-drilled the slits, but there's a notch for you to stuff those rubber-sheathed connections down inside the tub. I don't think they're supposed to be on top. The body & wing aren't supposed to be crooked. I hope this pic helps; try it. No drilling needed.

HI!... That notch is for the battery leads. The bottom under the battery is only about 1/16 deep. Not enough room. The receiver antenna wire barely has enough room to get under the battery without causing interference problems.

Alrighty then. :) I built a Bigwig back in the day, I just figured I'd point something out as all of your recently posted Bigwigs have a crooked body/wing due to the placement of your bullet connectors. Keep them crooked if you like, they're your cars. :?

HI!... If they are built by the manual they will have a crooked body.

HI!... I have updated the modded BigWig now. It now has :

- Hotshot aluminum driveshaft
- HPI 5 spoke white wheels
- Twister brushed motor
- After market aluminum shocks

I plan on making a "fake" 9.6 volt NiMh battery for it also. Currently painting another body for it as well.

HI!... Got some work done on BigWig #6 this weekend. Bought a driver figure and got him painted up and mounted in the body. Also got some BigWig decals applied to the body.
