so ive been looking for a replacement for the indoor captet track as the rc10 took it hard last year

so i found a rc10b4 on ebay and decided to grab it .. i know i could have gotten a factory team b4.2 car but i want to build it so i got a basic first gen b4

here are the picts before i took it apart

the car was in overall good shape but stoped by the local hobby shop to see if they had anything intresting for it ... well i picked up some goodies and headed home

so i striped the car down and wanted to do something to the chassis so out came the carbonfiber vinyl

Image

Image

after that i started building the front end .. boy im glad i did .. some people just dont know how to build a car .. anyways i had picked up a RPM front end and after a couple of hrs got to swing free on the car .. also pulled the scales out to see it there was a diffrance .. the RPM's are a little hevier

Image

Image

Image

i also did some RPM ballends ... dont know why they came out light blue on the picts but they are a close match to the shocks

Image

rebuilt the front shocks and did 30wt oil to start ... starting to come together

Image

nice wight savings from the mip top shaft .. the slipper pads looked new so i just gave them a quick sand and reinstalled

just a quick pick of the rear before i redid it over

Image

installing the rear hubs i was hopeing i had the bearings at home but didnt :(

Image

Image

installed the electronincs in it and called it a night

Vemon VR3T
LRP PRO brushed speed control
Speed Gem Extream brushed motor ( i think its a 10x2 )

as soon as i can get a set of bearings i will have it up and running

Looks great...when I rebuilt a car for my son to race, I took a little time, some grid plastic (plastic canvas from the craft store) and a drill bit to dimple the motor plate. Just to be a touch different...

Wow, those rear carriers are beefy. I never realized they were so thick.

had to work the back alot to get it to fit well and 1/2" off the sides to keep it from draging the ground
