Well it's been a long time since I bought my original RC10 back in the late 80's. My original car is long gone, but the desire to own another hit me recently. This is what I ended up with. I plan on making a few changes to it and I'll document it all here as I go. This website has a ton of info!

Looks like a good start, welcome back! Be careful, these things tend to multiply!

It gets tough when you have multiple hobbies.

You were right.... barely into this project and I think I have enough parts to build 3 cars, lol....

I also picked up a bunch of white parts for this car cuz I just wasn't feelin the black suspension. I picked up the black tub to build an all black car for my kid (I'll do another build thread on that one). I'll be sticking with the gold and white for myself.
I'm attempting to whiten these with peroxide and UV grow lights.... we will see...
This was after a good scrubbing with CLR

Soaking in Peroxide

Some of the parts came out pretty clean.... others are still soaking. Here are the hubs with new bearings installed.

And I installed most of the suspension and the shock towers/rear bulkhead. So far so good.

Looking good. What a great idea with the peroxide and uv light it seems to really work well.

Trans bearings installed (replacing the bushings that were in it).
