has anyone else had issues with severe binding of the dogbone in the left side trans outdrive? my 2 molded chassis with the trailing arms have the same problem. the only way i seem to be able to fix the problem is to use the long bronze bushings in the hubs, inserted from the outside in so there's no flange on the inside of the hub. i've tried a 6 gear and an mip trans in them with the same result. i'm sure if i put a stealth in them, it'd be ok. but, i don't want to drill the chassis' for them.

I would totally drill the chassis. So, they're binding because they dogbones are too long?

I never noticed that kind of problem on mine, and I used a MIP trans. Maybe you could have better results with dogbones and springs instead of universals? I can't figure either why you only have the problem on the left side there must be a reason... a picture or two could help too

jason i had that problem on mine look at how the blocks are drilled for the chassis, the left is drilled wrong i had to go with the other set of blocks with more toe, they are drilled right problem solved.

well, i'm thinking that the holes for the trans are drilled slightly crooked, or where the left arm mount attaches to the the chassis. also, i'm using the mounts that'll give 2 degree rear toe, since they're the only ones that are drilled correctly. have you ever noticed that the 1 degree/3 degree mounts are drilled off center?

i could probably use the 3 degree setup and it would work, but it just looks like hell. not to mention, i'll have to grind away the chassis itself or the mount to get it to fit.

i,m going to try and redrill the 1 degree blocks and see if that works............
