Pretty cool bolt on package for your average, run of the mill, Charger.

I don't necessarily disagree, the original was no beauty either, the thing is, for the fans out there, they did a good approximation, just as Chevy did with the Camaro and Ford did with the Mustang. This body kit is unique and does a good job at what it is designed to do. It also appears to be well thought out and well engineered.

I'd rather take the bus than drive that abortion around.

I'll agree that it just looks & seems wrong to put a Daytona kit on a Challenger, but it would've looked a helluva lot worse on the modern-day 4-door Charger. I agree with Halgar that there was a lot of thought put into the engineering and quality, attention-to-detail are excellent. I've seen way too many fugly body kits that look like a$$ and the fit & quality are crappy. If we're just talking about body kits in general, this one looks to be far superior to a good number I've seen for ricers.
As far as the original Winged Warriors go, I always preferred the look of the Daytona Charger to the Superbird; I like how the Charger's towel-rack spoiler was mounted further back on the rear quarters and had a more vertical angle; the Superbird's is mounted halfway forward on the quarters and angles much more. I like the Charger's nose-cone more, too...the Plymouth version is more rounded and bulbous-looking on the sides.

Long before Kawasaki could even dream of having such a cool colour, Mopar had the original called Sublime Green!

Yup! That color, along with Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy & Panther Pink were all iconic paint colors for Mopar up to the early 70's. Chrysler typically was more daring than the others when it came to paint colors and car designs.
